Showers will develop in parts of northern England, Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland, and North Wales in the afternoon, these will fall as sleet at low levels in the afternoon and snow in the hills. Further snow showers will develop overnight at fall as snow at all levels in most of the west, perhaps spreading further inland to parts of West Midland. Snow showers are expected to fade away on Thursday afternoon. 1-5 cm of accumulation is likely over the lower ground with 5-10 cm accumulation possible across higher ground.
The update extent the warning to cover Cornwall, Weymouth and Birmingham.
