In the morning a weak area of low pressure will be centered over northern England and move over towards the North Sea over the course of the day. This will bring some isolated gusts of wind and rain into Wales, Central and Eastern England throughout the day on Saturday.
There is a possibility that CAPE will intensify in the late morning/early afternoon hours with values between 600-900 J/kg allowing convectivity to develop along the Southern side of the low pressure. This will allow for some sporadic thunderstorms to develop quickly in this type of environment. Enhanced by the strong shear from the North, and aided by convergence zones. This means that there is a wide corridor with a favourable environment that will allow thunderstorms to develop across Wales and central to eastern parts of England. These thunderstorms will be rather sporadic at first but might intensify into an organised area of thunderstorms across Central England and move eastwards throughout the day.
