Convective Outlook Issued: Slight risk 25/04/2025 06:00 - 26/04/2025 05:59

A complex frontal system will bring heavy rain across Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Western Scotland on Friday. During the early afternoon, scattered heavy showers will start to develop behind the main front across parts of Ireland. Shallow 300-500 J/kg MUCAPE and moderate deep-level shear should enable a few lightning strikes to be embedded within these showers. A few hail showers are also possible given tomorrow's steep lapse rate behind the frontal system.
