An area of developing low pressure will rapidly deepen and deliver heavy downpours to western Ireland on Saturday, allowing a few thunderstorms to develop along the cold front. Moderate lapse rates can provide an ideal environment for developing small hail in Ireland and Scotland. Hodograph also suggests a risk of a few isolated tornadoes as well.MUCAPE of 400-600 J/kg also allows scattered thunderstorms to develop in the evening at the slight risk.
