An upper low will bring some heavy and thundery showers to parts of the south and west as it reacts with daytime heating and latent heat, thunderstorms with hail are possible across the heaviest showers as well. The highest risk of severe storms is across parts of central southern England and East Anglia, although these are most likely to be sporadic and weak. Surface flooding is also possible in places.
An enhanced risk might be issued for parts of southern England if confidence increases.
