Scattered showers following behind an occluded front will intensify over the afternoon. Diurnal heating will allow some shallow surface CAPE to develop widely, perhaps reaching 200 - 400 J/kg across parts of the west, allowing sporadic thunderstorms to develop. Lack of shearing could limit the lifespan of these storms, therefore, only 2 low-end slight risks have been issued.

A few hail showers are possible, considering the steep lapse rate.
