On Monday, a warm front is expected to usher in rain over a significant portion of central England and Wales. Along the southern edge of this warm front, there is the potential for isolated showers to form in central southern England. In some areas, particularly the East Midlands, southeast England, and East Anglia, these showers may intensify, possibly leading to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. These thunderstorms are anticipated to be sporadic in nature, and there is also a chance of hail showers accompanying the heaviest rainfalls. Additionally, there is a slight possibility of elevated thunderstorms developing overnight in the eastern parts of England. However, due to limited atmospheric instability and inconsistent model predictions, confidence in this scenario is relatively low, resulting in the issuance of a slight risk advisory.
