There is a slight chance of thunderstorms developing throughout the day on Thursday. But Overnight Thursday to Friday There is a chance for some elevated thunderstorms to converge along the leading edge of a cold front.
An upper low is expected to bring a period of wet weather across much of the British Isles in the daytime, where further showers are expected to deliver by a cold front to parts of southern England. Some of them might be heavy and thundery due to elevated instability, where MUCAPE might reach 400 J/kg in places. However, the lack of deep-level shear and saturated profile might limit overall lightning activity in those elevated thunderstorms.
