Storm Isha will bring a band of heavy rain across western parts of the British Isles over the Sunday. High substantial rainfall accumulation is expected in areas, particularly over elevated terrain. Parts of Scotland, Wales, Ireland and northern England are expected to experience 25-35 mm of rain within 24 hours in lower-lying areas, potentially reaching 40-60 mm within 24 hours in higher regions. The most severe conditions are anticipated in elevated areas of western Scotland and Snowdonia, where 80-100 mm of rain is possible within 24 hours. This excessive rainfall could lead to significant local impacts, including damaging floods that might pose a danger to life.
