An area of low pressure will develop across the English Channel on Wednesday, bringing a band of snow into places. At the moment, it seems that the band of snow is most likely to affect southern England, perhaps parts of south Wales and south central England as well.
1-5 cm of accumulation is likely in the yellow warning area.
The northern edge of the warning area will see less accumulation (1-3 cm). This band of snow will be disruptive in both rush hours, as icy conditions are likely to develop on untreated surfaces.
An amber warning has also been issued for the risk of heavy and prolonged snowfall. 3-7 cm widely possible in the amber warning, perhaps 7-13 cm across higher grounds
