Northeasterly winds will bring frequent wintry showers to parts of Scotland and Northeast England through Thursday and early Friday. These will fall as snow to low levels for a time where 1-2 cm of accumulation is possible, perhaps 1-2 cm higher across hills of northern. Icy conditions are expected on untreated surfaces. These showers will track southwestward into east Anglia on early Friday.
