Extreme heat -> Rainy days- Weather blog for 23/7 to 25/7

A high-pressure area brought unusual heat weather to the UK, especially the western UK and Northern Ireland. However, a low-pressure area will approach to the south on Friday night. Outbreaks of rain, breezy weather and some thunderstorms are expected to spread from the southwest on Friday night, introducing unsettled conditions to much of England and Wales for Saturday and Sunday.(See image 2) Heavy, thundery showers are likely to break out by day, particularly on Sunday when these could be widespread and locally torrential. Lightning and hail are also expected. Rainfall amounts will vary from place to place, but there is the potential for up to 100 mm to build up in some locations for the weekend, much of which could fall in a short period of time. Remember to bring a umbrella while you are in outdoor at the southern UK at the weekend!
