Storm Babet will approach Ireland and Northern Ireland, leading to a period of heavy rainfall in some areas. Accumulation is expected to surpass 25 mm in most places, perhaps reaching 40-50 mm in the heavier spot. The heaviest rain is expected to impact southern parts of Ireland (amber region), where 60-70 mm of rain is possible within 24 hours, and perhaps reaching 80-100 mm within 36 hours, bringing an increased risk of flooding.
