An area of low pressure will develop and bring bands of heavy rain to parts of Northern England and Wales. The accumulated rainfall is expected to reach 30-40mm across the warning area within a day, perhaps exceeding 50 mm in total within the warning period. Locally high rainfall amounts are expected across higher grounds, especially across the Lake District, the Pennines and the North York Moors, potentially exceeding 70 mm within two days.
