Showers are likely to form in the north of Ireland during early Thursday, turning into snow in parts of Northern Ireland in the afternoon, these showers, therefore, move south to bring further sleet/ snow showers across Wales, the west Midlands, and SW England in the evening, causing icy condition overnight. Places within the warning area are likely to see 1-2 cm of snow accumulate perhaps 4-5 cm of accumulation over higher ground. Few snow showers will continue feeding into the west coast, bringing future accumulation in places.
As most of the models agree with the east extension of the snow band, the warning area has been slightly expanded to cover parts of West Midlands and SE England.
