In the late morning, scattered showers will form inland, potentially intensifying into heavy thunderstorms over parts of Wales and southwest England. These thunderstorms are expected to be brief and scattered, though they might become more organized in areas at slight risk. Some of the heaviest showers may even produce hail. Thunderstorms might also develop across East Anglia in the evening.
Later in the night, as an occluded front moves in from the south, there's a heightened chance of well-organized heavy showers, evolving into thunderstorm areas over the English Channel due to the increasing CAPE amount (up to 1000 J/kg). This could result in frequent lightning along the southern coasts and localized flooding in certain areas.
