Convective Outlook Issued: Slight risk 07/09/2023 06:00 - 08/09/2023 05:59

After the remnants of thunderstorms weaken over the morning across the Celtic Sea and surrounding areas, thunderstorms might break out across parts of Ireland and Northern Ireland in the mid-afternoon, where CAPE (Convective Available Potential Energy) will likely exceed 1200J/kg locally. Heavy showers, marginally severe size hail and frequent thunderstorms are possible, especially across the AOI (Area of Interest).
