A low-pressure system named Storm Agnes is expected to form and will bring heavy rain bands to western areas. These rain bands will be accompanied by strong winds, with gusts reaching speeds of 45-55 mph inland, and possibly up to 60 mph in elevated terrain and along exposed coastal regions as indicated by the yellow warning. In the amber warning zone, gusts could reach as high as 70-80 mph in the southern regions of Ireland, while gusts of 60-70 mph are also possible in the Isle of Man and some parts of Wales.
